Explore restorative and rejuvenating morning and evening yoga and breath practices (pranayama) to nourish body and mind. On Saturday there is a breathtaking guided coastal walk, (option to stay at Holwell for a massage or other therapy). In the evening there will be a hot and cold immersion in the Sauna Garden and (optional!) outdoor plunge showers. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a fire circle in the garden and we’ll sit together under the stars surrounded by nature. Trees and shrubs circle you whilst the stars illuminate the night sky above, (if it’s raining, we will have a cosy fire using the log burner in the art barn). There will be a couple of free hours on Saturday to relax or explore or book a massage, facial or Reiki session with one of Holwell’s experienced therapists.
Friday and Saturday candlelit Restorative Yoga, will offer nervous system rest and regeneration to nurture your entire being. Think blankets, bolsters, eye-pillows, gentle music and supportive guidance for you to take what you need to allow you to rest and re-connect.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings I’ll lead you through a more dynamic active yoga practice. There will be time to explore postures in depth and practice any breathing techniques or postures you’d like to focus on.
The whole retreat is about letting go of expectations of what yoga 'should' look like, and leaning into how you feel allowing your intuition to guide you with how to move.
Everything is optional throughout the retreat. This is your weekend to look after you, any way you need.
